Soulink is an AI-assisted compatibility and self-reflection platform designed to help people explore love languages, values, personality patterns, friendship compatibility and deeper connection themes.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Soulink, we may collect or store:

• Account information, such as name and email address.
• Profile information, such as birthday, country, gender, orientation, connection preferences and love languages.
• Quiz answers, hobbies, values, boundaries, mantra, soul summary and “about me” text.
• Profile photos uploaded by you.
• Technical information needed to keep your account signed in and your profile synced.
• Optional feedback, comments or ratings if you choose to submit them.

3. Sensitive Information You Choose to Provide

Some optional Soulink fields may reveal sensitive personal information, such as orientation, relationship preferences, photos, boundaries, beliefs or free-text reflections. You choose what to share. Soulink uses this information only to create your profile, compatibility views and saved connection experience.

4. How We Store Your Data

When you create an account or log in, Soulink uses Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Firebase Storage. Your profile data is stored in Firestore under your user account, and profile photos may be stored in Firebase Storage.

Soulink may also use localStorage in your browser as a temporary fallback or cache. For logged-in users, Firestore is intended to be the main source of truth.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Create and save your Soulink profile.
• Generate My Soul, Soul Chart, Soul Coach, matching and compatibility views.
• Improve the user experience and debug technical issues.
• Help your profile stay available after refresh, logout and login.
• Protect the platform from misuse and unauthorized access.

6. Photos

If you upload profile photos, they may be stored in Firebase Storage and linked to your Soulink profile. You should only upload photos you have the right to use. You can replace or remove your photos from your profile.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not intentionally share your profile data with advertisers or unrelated third parties. Your data may be processed by service providers needed to operate Soulink, such as Firebase / Google Cloud services, Vercel hosting and EmailJS for optional feedback messages. These providers may process data according to their own infrastructure and legal terms.

8. Cookies and Local Storage

Soulink may use browser storage, including localStorage, to keep your profile cached locally, improve page loading and maintain a smoother experience. You can clear this data in your browser settings, but doing so may log you out or reset local fallback data.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. You may also request that we stop processing certain data where legally applicable.

To request access, correction or deletion of your Soulink data, contact us at: ritakairiene7@gmail.com. During private testing, deletion may be handled manually, and we will aim to remove your account data and profile photos within 48 hours of a clear deletion request.

10. Data Retention

We keep your account and profile data while your account is active or while needed to provide the Soulink service. If you request deletion, we will make reasonable efforts to delete or anonymize your data unless we are required to keep it for legal or security reasons.

11. Security

We use Firebase security rules, authentication and storage rules to help protect user data. However, no online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please use a strong password and do not share your login details.

12. AI and Personal Insights

Soulink may generate reflective or compatibility-style insights based on the profile information you provide. These insights are for self-reflection and entertainment / personal growth purposes only. They are not medical, psychological, legal, financial or professional advice.

13. Children and Age

During the private testing stage, Soulink is intended for adult users. If you are under the legal age required in your country to use this kind of service, please do not create an account without appropriate permission.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Soulink develops. If we make important changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice on the platform.
